Mobile Afya ( Afya meaning health in Swahili ) a USSD application in Africa using internet-free mobile technology to provide basic health information in local and native languages starting with Swahili in Tanzania.

We aim to empower individuals and communities make informed healthy decisions, enable them to understand they are in control of their own health and know about healthcare services available to them. The App is developed by healthcare professionals, engineers and tech innovators. It is user friendly, with an option to give feedback.

The user dials *147*47# choose a topic and receive SMS with the information they have requested.
